Welcome to Awesome Assam. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted and assisted by our representative. Thereafter, proceed to Shillong, popularly known as the “Scotland of the East.”
En route, visit the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani), where you may enjoy optional water sports activities. Upon arrival in Shillong, check in at your hotel.
In the evening, you may visit Police Bazaar, the city’s largest and most vibrant local market, ideal for shopping and exploring local culture. Overnight stay.
After breakfast, proceed to Laitlum Canyons to enjoy its breathtaking panoramic views. Later, visit Krang Suri Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Meghalaya. Here, you may take a refreshing swim in the naturally formed pool and also walk behind the waterfall to witness the cascading water from a unique perspective.
After lunch, return to Shillong and continue sightseeing with visits to the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures, Ward’s Lake, where you may enjoy a boating experience, the Cathedral Catholic Church, and Lady Hydari Park.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
After breakfast, proceed to Mawsynram, which according to recent geological reports is considered the place receiving the highest rainfall in the world. The region is also known for its fascinating natural caves.
Later, visit the Mawphlang Sacred Grove, one of the largest and most well-preserved sacred forests in Meghalaya. The grove is protected by the local community and holds great spiritual significance; nothing is allowed to be taken out from the forest as it is believed to be safeguarded by local deities. Continue your visit to the Khasi Model Village to experience the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Khasi tribe.
In the evening, return to Shillong and visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

After breakfast, proceed to Mawlynnong Village, known as the cleanest village in India. This charming and colorful village is renowned for its exceptional cleanliness and community-driven initiatives. Located about 90 km from Shillong, the village also offers several interesting attractions such as the Living Root Bridge and a unique natural phenomenon where a large boulder is balanced on another rock.
Later, visit Dawki, situated along the Indo–Bangladesh border. Here, you can enjoy a memorable boating experience on the crystal-clear waters of the Umgnot River, famous for its remarkable transparency.
In the evening, proceed to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

Wake up early to enjoy the mesmerizing morning views of Cherrapunji. After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing including Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, and Thangkharang Park, each offering spectacular natural beauty and panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Optional Activity:
You may opt for a full-day trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat Village. The trek involves descending approximately 3,200 steps each way to reach the famous bridge. Adventurous travelers can continue further to Rainbow Falls, which is about 60–90 minutes trek from the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
After breakfast, proceed to Guwahati. On arrival check-In into Hotel and relax. Overnight Stay.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Depending on the available time, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Guwahati, including visits to the sacred Kamakhya Temple and other prominent temples such as the Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple, Sukreswar Temple, and Navagraha Temple.
You may also visit the Umananda Temple located on Peacock Island, the smallest inhabited river island in the world. Other attractions include the Assam State Museum, Dighali Pukhuri (Lake), the State Zoo-cum-Botanical Garden, the Planetarium, and the Assam State Emporiums.
Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey with everlasting memories of the tour.
