Your sacred Char Dham Yatra begins as soon as you arrive in Dehradun, whether by flight or train. A representative from Indian Yatra Holidays will arrange your transfer to the hotel, which is included in your package.
After check-in, take some time to relax and prepare for the spiritual journey ahead. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
At 7:00 PM, attend the mandatory pre-yatra briefing conducted by our team. During this session, you will receive essential information about the upcoming journey, including helicopter departure schedules, baggage restrictions, required items and the day-by-day itinerary.
You will also be provided with a duffel bag, which is the only bag permitted on the helicopter. Please pack all essential belongings required for the five-day yatra in this bag, keeping within the strict weight limit of 5 kg per person. Your body weight will also be recorded before departure in accordance with helicopter operational requirements.
Any additional luggage can be safely left in the hotel's complimentary luggage storage and collected upon your return on Day 6.
Begin your day with an early-morning departure from Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun, for your helicopter journey towards Kharsali, the gateway to the Yamunotri Dham.
Upon arrival at Kharsali Helipad, continue by local transfer towards Janki Chatti. From there, the final stretch to Yamunotri Temple involves an uphill trek of approximately 5–6 km. Palki and Pithoo services may be available, subject to availability and the inclusions confirmed in your package.
Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, Yamunotri Temple is one of the four sacred shrines of the Char Dham Yatra. Situated at approximately 3,293 metres above sea level, the temple is surrounded by magnificent Himalayan peaks and offers a serene setting for prayer and spiritual reflection. Located in the upper reaches of the Yamuna River region, this holy shrine holds immense significance for devotees seeking divine blessings.
After completing your temple darshan, return to Kharsali and relax after a spiritually fulfilling day in the Himalayas.
Begin your morning with a helicopter flight from Kharsali to Harsil, the gateway to Gangotri Dham. Enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the magnificent Himalayan mountains and the picturesque Harsil Valley along the way.
Upon arrival at Harsil, continue by road to Gangotri Temple, one of the four sacred shrines of the Char Dham Yatra. Dedicated to Goddess Ganga, the temple stands at approximately 3,415 metres above sea level and holds immense spiritual significance. According to Hindu tradition, this is the sacred place associated with the descent of the holy River Ganga to Earth. The majestic Bhagirathi River flows alongside the temple, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
After completing your darshan and offering prayers, return by road to Harsil for your overnight stay amid the peaceful Himalayan surroundings.
Important Note: Mobile network connectivity in Harsil may be limited and intermittent. BSNL, Airtel and Jio services may be available in certain areas, depending on local coverage. We recommend informing your family about your travel plans before departing by helicopter.
This is one of the most significant days of the Char Dham Yatra by Helicopter, as you journey to the sacred abode of Lord Shiva at Kedarnath.
Begin your day with a helicopter flight from Harsil to Sersi or Phata Helipad, depending on the operational arrangements. From there, board a shuttle helicopter for your onward journey to the Kedarnath Helipad.
Situated at approximately 11,755 feet (3,583 metres) above sea level, Kedarnath Temple is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and among the most revered pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. Surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks, the ancient stone temple offers a truly awe-inspiring setting for prayer, devotion and spiritual reflection.
After landing at the Kedarnath Helipad, walk slowly and allow yourself time to adjust to the high altitude, where oxygen availability is lower than at sea level. Avoid unnecessary exertion and proceed towards the temple at a comfortable pace. Take your time during darshan and follow the instructions provided by the local authorities and your tour team.
After completing your darshan, return by shuttle helicopter to Sersi or Phata for your overnight stay.
Important Note: Kedarnath is situated at a high altitude, and visitors may experience altitude-related discomfort. Senior citizens and travellers with existing medical conditions should consult a qualified medical professional before undertaking the journey. Carry any prescribed medicines with you and follow the applicable helicopter operator's safety instructions.
Begin your morning with a helicopter flight to Badrinath, the final sacred shrine on your Char Dham pilgrimage circuit.
Nestled in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at approximately 3,133 metres above sea level, Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the most revered pilgrimage destinations in Hinduism. The temple's vibrant architecture stands beautifully against the majestic Himalayan landscape, with the magnificent Nilkantha Peak adding to the spiritual charm of the surroundings.
Spend peaceful moments offering prayers and seeking the blessings of Lord Vishnu. Take in the sacred atmosphere and reflect on the spiritual significance of your journey as you complete the four holy shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Our Associate / representative will assist with the applicable priority darshan arrangements, subject to temple authority guidelines, crowd conditions and the regulations in force on the day of your visit.
After completing your darshan, prepare for the next stage of your journey as you conclude this memorable pilgrimage through the sacred Himalayas.
After completing your sacred Char Dham pilgrimage, board your return helicopter flight from Badrinath to Sahastradhara Helipad, Dehradun, bringing your memorable spiritual journey through the Himalayas to a close.
Upon arrival, Indian Yatra Holidays will arrange a complimentary transfer to Dehradun Airport or the railway station for your onward journey home.
If you have stored any additional luggage at the hotel before the yatra, you can collect it before proceeding with your departure arrangements.
