Arrive at Dimapur Airport, the commercial gateway to Nagaland, where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. Proceed by road to Kohima, the picturesque capital city of Nagaland.

During the scenic drive, witness the beautiful landscapes of Nagaland and get a glimpse of local life as you pass by roadside markets where villagers sell fresh vegetables, fruits, and traditional indigenous products sourced from the region.

On arrival in Kohima, check in to your hotel and relax.

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the vibrant local market, followed by a visit to the historic Kohima War Cemetery, a memorial dedicated to the brave soldiers who lost their lives during World War II.

Later, immerse yourself in the spectacular celebrations of the Hornbill Festival, known as the “Festival of Festivals.” Experience the rich cultural heritage of Nagaland through traditional folk dances, tribal music, indigenous performances, and colorful displays of traditional attire.

After breakfast, drive to Khonoma Village, located approximately 20 km from Kohima. Known as India’s first Green Village, Khonoma is a remarkable example of sustainable living and traditional conservation practices.

Explore this historic village, where culture, heritage, and nature exist in perfect harmony. The village has taken a unique initiative by conserving around 27 sq. km of its land as the Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary (KNCTS), protecting the region’s rich biodiversity and the endangered Blyth’s Tragopan.

Stroll through the traditional village pathways, learn about the fascinating history of the Angami Naga community, and experience the untouched beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

Later, drive back to Kohima.

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Khezhakeno Village, a historically significant Chakhesang Naga village known for its rich cultural heritage and legendary importance among the Naga communities.

According to local traditions, Khezhakeno is considered the ancestral origin of several present-day Naga villages, making it an important destination to understand the history, migration, and traditions of the Naga people.

Later, drive back to Kohima.

Later in the evening, return to the hotel and spend the rest of the time at leisure.
